How important is God’s Word to you?

From Jerry Max Morgan’s latest newsletter relating a recent incident that happened in the Ukraine:

One of our preachers was riding the train and during the trip a soldier took the preacher’s Bible and threw it out of the window.  Two years passed and the preacher received a package containing his Bible and this letter:

“I found your Bible beside the railroad tracks and I have shared it with many in our village.  Several copied it word for word so they would have their own copy.  We have used it to start a New Testament congregation and thus far 31 precious souls have been baptized.”

How important is your Bible to you?  If the only way you could have one is to sit down and copy another one word for word, could you do it?  Would you do it?  Do you realize what being able to read the Word of God means to our souls?

Psalm 19:7-11: “The instructions of the Lord are perfect, reviving the soul. The decrees of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple. The commandments of the Lord are right, bringing joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are clear, giving insight for living. Reverence for the Lord is pure, lasting forever. The laws of the Lord are true; each one is fair. They are more desirable than gold, even the finest gold. They are sweeter than honey, even honey dripping from the comb. They are a warning to your servant, a great reward for those who obey them.”

The Word of God means everything to us!

Hear it, believe it, obey it!
